Our Story

Our story in milestones: from graph paper in 1991 to experts of the digital age

1991

We founded Tudomány Language School in Óbuda. The first groups were still organized by hand, on graph paper.

2001

From our cozy language school set up in apartments, we moved to our first center, designed to meet our needs and equipped with modern office facilities.

2006

We became an official TOEFL exam center, entering the world of international language testing.

2012

Organizing and conducting trainings eligible for funding. We grew into a nationwide language network.

2016

With a new name and the concept of a “language community space,” we reinvented ourselves — Converzum was born.

2017

We moved into a new 850 m² center that perfectly serves our community and professional goals.

2018

Uniprep was launched: our university preparatory program.

2021

We turned thirty! Thank you to everyone—our partners, students, and mentors.

2022

We opened our sister school: the Weymouth English Centre in Southern England.

2023

We became an Erasmus+ accredited institution, providing international training opportunities for our teachers.

2024

We have provided further training to more than 1,000 foreign teachers.

With more than 30 years of experience, a solid professional background, and a teaching staff of 120–150, we are one of Hungary’s leading accredited language schools.
